Day 1

Leh

  • Arrive at Leh Airport, where our Tour Manager will warmly welcome you and assist with your transfer to the hotel.
  • After check-in, the remainder of the day is reserved for acclimatisation to the high altitude (approximately 11,000 ft), which is essential for a comfortable stay in Ladakh. Leh, the capital of Ladakh, is renowned for its breathtaking mountain landscapes, ancient monasteries, and rich Buddhist culture.
  • In the evening, enjoy a short meet-and-greet session with your fellow travellers and Tour Manager.

Day 2

Leh

  • After breakfast, begin your exploration of Leh by visiting Shey Palace, once the summer residence of the Ladakhi royal family. Continue to Rancho School (Druk White Lotus School), made famous by the Bollywood movie 3 Idiots.
  • Later, visit the magnificent Hemis Monastery, one of the largest and wealthiest Buddhist monasteries in Ladakh, followed by a photo stop at the beautiful Thiksey Monastery.
  • Further, visit Sindhu Ghat to witness the sacred Indus River, one of Asia's longest rivers.
  • Later, pay tribute to the brave soldiers of India at the Hall of Fame War Museum, maintained by the Indian Army. In the evening, enjoy a colourful Ladakhi Folk Dance performance showcasing the region's vibrant traditions.

Day 3

Leh – Khardung La – Nubra Valley

  • Today, drive to the spectacular Nubra Valley via the famous Khardung La Pass (18,832 ft), one of the world's highest motorable roads. Enjoy panoramic views of snow-covered peaks and dramatic mountain landscapes throughout the journey.
  • Upon arrival, visit the impressive Maitreya Buddha Statue, admired for its intricate craftsmanship and peaceful surroundings.
  • Later, proceed to Hunder Village, home to the unique cold desert where you can witness the rare double-humped Bactrian camels, found only in this region of India.

Day 4

Nubra Valley – Turtuk Excursion – Nubra Valley

  • Today, enjoy a unique excursion to Turtuk Village, one of India's northernmost villages, opened to tourists only in 2010.
  • En route, pass by Thoise Military Airfield before reaching this beautiful Balti village known for its distinct culture, traditional houses, and warm hospitality.
  • Visit the charming wooden bridge, the Shyok War Memorial, and take a leisurely walk through the picturesque Balti village while interacting with the locals and experiencing their traditional lifestyle.
  • Later, visit Thang Village (subject to operation), the last Indian village near the Line of Control (LOC), where you can enjoy a memorable photo stop.
  • Return to Nubra Valley for an overnight stay.

Day 5

Nubra Valley – Pangong Lake

  • After breakfast, proceed towards the breathtaking Pangong Tso via the scenic Agham–Shyok route, offering spectacular views of rugged mountains and dramatic landscapes.
  • Upon arrival, admire the stunning beauty of Pangong Lake, situated at an altitude of approximately 14,500 ft and famous for its ever-changing shades of blue.
  • The lake is also an important habitat for migratory birds, including Brahmani ducks, Black-necked Cranes, and Seagulls.
  • After check-in at your camp or hotel, spend the evening soaking in the peaceful atmosphere and unmatched natural beauty of the lake.

Day 6

Pangong Lake – Leh

  • This morning, bid farewell to Pangong Lake and drive back to Leh via the spectacular Chang La Pass, one of the world's highest motorable mountain passes. Enjoy mesmerizing views of the Himalayan landscape throughout the journey.
  • Upon reaching Leh, visit the iconic Shanti Stupa, built by Japanese monks as a symbol of world peace.
  • Later, enjoy free time to explore Leh's local markets, savour authentic Ladakhi cuisine, and shop for handicrafts, souvenirs, and traditional artefacts.

Day 7

Leh – Kargil

  • After breakfast, proceed towards Kargil, a picturesque town known for its historical significance and breathtaking surroundings.
  • En route, visit the fascinating Magnetic Hill, famous for its gravity-defying optical illusion, followed by a visit to the revered Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, dedicated to Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
  • Continue to Lamayuru Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh, and witness the extraordinary Moon Land, whose unique terrain resembles the lunar surface.
  • Arrive in Kargil by evening and check into your hotel.

Day 8

Kargil – Srinagar

  • Today, journey towards Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir, celebrated for its scenic lakes, houseboats, and Mughal gardens.
  • En route, visit Dras, the second coldest inhabited place in the world, and pay homage at the Kargil War Memorial & Museum, honouring the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the Kargil War.
  • Drive through the spectacular Zojila Pass, offering magnificent Himalayan views before arriving in Srinagar in the evening. Check into the hotel and relax after the scenic drive.

Day 9

Srinagar – Hometown

  • After breakfast, explore the beautiful city of Srinagar. Enjoy a peaceful Shikara Ride on the famous Dal Lake, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery and floating gardens.
  • Later, visit the magnificent Mughal Gardens, including Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh, known for their beautifully landscaped terraces and fountains.
  • After completing the sightseeing tour, proceed to Srinagar Airport for your onward journey with wonderful memories of Ladakh, Kargil, and Kashmir.
  • Bid farewell to your fellow travellers and look forward to joining another memorable journey with Waari.

    Important Information & Tour Guidelines
    • Guests opting for Joining & Leaving arrangements are required to book their own flight/train tickets and arrange airport/railway station transfers unless otherwise specified. 
    • To avail the group airport transfer, the following conditions must be met 
    • Your arrival airport must be the same as the group's scheduled arrival airport. 
    • Your arrival time should be at least one hour before the scheduled group flight arrival time. 
    • On the last day, your departure flight must be from the same airport and scheduled after the group's departure flight. 
    • Standard hotel check-in time is generally 2:00 PM (or as per the hotel's policy) and check-out time is 10:00 AM / 11:00 AM (or as per the hotel's policy). Early check-in and late check-out are subject to hotel availability and may attract additional charges. 
    • If your flight arrives before the standard check-in time, we may arrange sightseeing or other activities, wherever operationally feasible, to help you make the most of your day. 
    • In case of flight rescheduling resulting in an earlier arrival or later departure, additional meals or refreshments, if required as per the revised schedule, will be arranged at the company's discretion. 
    • Extra Adult/Child with Mattress bookings will be provided with one mattress per room, as applicable. 
    • Meals are served only as mentioned in the tour itinerary. Meals during air travel, train journeys, bus travel, transit halts, or personal stopovers are not included unless specifically mentioned. 
    • Seating in the tour vehicle is allotted on a first come, first served basis at the beginning of the tour and will remain the same throughout the journey unless otherwise decided by the Tour Manager for operational reasons. 
    • Due to operational requirements, weather conditions, local circumstances, traffic, government regulations, or other unavoidable reasons, the sightseeing sequence, itinerary, or travel route may be changed or reversed. However, every effort will be made to provide all the inclusions or suitable alternatives. 
    • All our departures are planned to operate as scheduled. However, if the minimum required number of participants is not achieved, the company reserves the right to merge the departure with another date or offer suitable alternatives. Guests may also opt for a customised package, where certain group services such as the Tour Manager, group activities, games, meals, or entry tickets may vary or may not be available. 
    • Air tickets issued under promotional, special, or non-refundable fares are subject to the respective airline's fare rules and may be partially or fully non-refundable. 
    • Guests are advised to keep their passports, travel documents, valuables, cash, and personal belongings safe throughout the tour. Waari shall not be responsible for any loss due to negligence or unforeseen circumstances.
