The Genesis: A Journey Begins in Poona
In the historic lanes of Poona, a young Maruti Musmade embarked on an extraordinary adventure that began with his appointment in the Indian Railways in 1983. This pivotal moment ignited a lifelong passion for exploration, setting him on a path that would eventually redefine travel in India. With each rail journey, Maruti's dream to innovate within the travel industry gathered momentum, ultimately shaping the future of Waari.

With the staunch support of his partner, Shivkanya Musmade, Maruti founded Balaji Travels in 2004. This venture started with a landmark 13-day expedition from Agra to Vaishno Devi, shepherding a group of 40 eager souls. This successful odyssey marked the beginning of an unending journey towards excellence in group travel, creating a mosaic of memorable journeys across the Indian subcontinent.

Adinath Holidays emerged as a beacon of comprehensive travel services, offering meticulously crafted group and bespoke journeys enhanced by seamless passport, visa, railway, and flight booking services.

The global pause during the Covid-19 pandemic led to a period of introspection and innovation for Maruti and Rishikesh. Inspired by the ancient and revered Pandharpur Vari, they envisioned Waari—a platform to showcase global cultures and heritage through themed journeys that unite diverse travellers under a shared banner of exploration.
Pandharpur Vari:
A venerated walking yatra spanning more than 700 years of history, represents a spiritual journey like no other. Each year, this ancient pilgrimage draws over a million devotees from diverse corners of Maharashtra and beyond, all converging in a spectacular display of faith and devotion. The pilgrimage, dedicated to the deity Vithoba, unfolds over an impressive 21-day route leading to the sacred town of Pandharpur.
Participants of all economic statuses and cultural backgrounds unite in a harmonious procession that stretches the bounds of spirituality and community. The logistical orchestration behind this event is monumental, meticulously planning provisions for food and accommodation to support the vast influx of pilgrims.
