Lima City Sightseeing

  • Proceed to a guided visit to the most attractive and important sites of Lima, the “City of Kings”.
  • Explore the residential districts of San Isidro and Miraflores.
  • Pass by Huaca Pucllana and view the ceremonial and administrative centre of the Culture of Lima from outside.
  • Visit El Olivar Park with its historic olive trees brought from Spain, Central Park of Miraflores, and Larcomar, a popular tourist and entertainment centre with views of the Pacific Ocean.
  • Enter the Historic Centre of Lima.
  • Visit Plaza San Martín and Plaza Mayor.
  • See the Government Palace, City Hall and Cathedral.
  • Visit the Museum of Religious Art.
  • See the Colonial Balconies of Lima.
  • Visit the Convent and Church of San Francisco, one of the largest monumental complexes of Colonial Art in America and a Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
  • Return to the hotel.

Cusco – Machu Picchu

  • Transfer to Poroy Train Station.
  • Board the Expedition Train to Aguas Calientes.
  • Arrive in Aguas Calientes.
  • Take a 30-minute bus ride covering approximately 6 km of winding road to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.
  • Begin a guided tour of Machu Picchu, also known as the “Lost City of the Incas”.
  • Visit Main Plaza, Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial, the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows, and several cemeteries within the Historic Sanctuary.
  • Take the bus back to Aguas Calientes.
  • Enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant.
  • After lunch, proceed to the train station.
  • Board the train for the return journey towards Cusco.
